Job description

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform and/or assist in the performance of general mechanical duties.
  • Repairs all equipment components and systems assigned to them with minimal assistance or supervision.
  • Perform trouble shooting to detect and diagnose mechanical problems by using Manufacturers guidelines and resources.
  • Maintains and neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of Company tools.
  • Advises the Service Manager if additional repair work is necessary.
  • Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on AG/Diesel equipment preferred
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on diesel and/or equipment repair experience or graduate of relevant vocational or college courses.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid drivers license, CDL Class A preferred, but not required.
  • Necessary tools to perform the position.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills

 Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, squat, and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use hands to operate hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to bend, pull, push, and reach with hands and arms frequently. Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, or crouch occasionally.
  • Ability to speak, hear and write English fluently
