Training & Development Manager
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Training & Development Manager is responsible for leading the company's employee training and development initiatives across all facilities. This position develops, implements, and continuously improves training systems and employee development programs that enhance employee knowledge, performance, engagement, and career growth. The role partners with Operations, Human Resources, and other departments to identify organizational training needs and deliver effective learning solutions that support business objectives.

Reports to the HR Director
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Manage and coordinate plant floor training coordinators to support operational training needs and workforce development.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and copiers. The position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk throughout office and production areas, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift or move materials. Must possess sufficient vision, hearing, verbal communication, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of the position. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed intermittently in both office and manufacturing environments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Conduct annual training and development needs assessments to identify organizational learning opportunities.
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide training and employee development programs.
  3. Establish annual training objectives that align with organizational goals.
  4. Develop, coordinate, schedule, and facilitate employee training programs, including new hire onboarding, leadership development, compliance training, and job-specific skills training.
  5. Obtain, develop, and maintain effective training materials utilizing a variety of instructional methods and media.
  6. Train and coach managers and supervisors on employee development, coaching techniques, and performance improvement.
  7. Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and develop effective learning solutions.
  8. Coordinate employee development events, workshops, and training sessions, including securing vendors, ordering materials, and managing logistics.
  9. Maintain organizational communications to ensure employees are informed of training opportunities, development programs, and available resources.
  10. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through follow-up assessments, employee feedback, and performance metrics, making improvements as needed.
  11. Administer departmental training budgets.
  12. Maintain accurate training records and documentation to ensure compliance with company requirements.
  13. Assist with facility tours, customer visits, and presentations as needed.
  14. Promote and exemplify the organization's culture, values, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  15. Work collaboratively with Human Resources, Operations, and all levels of leadership to support organizational goals.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience designing, implementing, and delivering employee training and development programs.
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

SKILLS / PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management or HRIS systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to analyze training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including metal stamping, welding, and machine operations, preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support multiple shifts and training schedules.
