Job description

Job Summary:
The QA/Engineering Tech - DAD will inspect returned products from the field as well as any defective products during various stages of production, in turn helping identify ways to improve product quality. This person will become familiar with the product to assist engineering in troubleshooting and repair the product to be returned to inventory or to be sent back out to the customer. This is an onsite position based in Lagrange, Georgia.
Essential Responsibilities:
 
  • Keep track of failed units from production and from the field
  • Inspect and repair failed units in a timely manner
  • Understand basic wiring schematics and test procedures to provide basic troubleshooting for production when issues arise
  • Maintain organization of the NCR/CSR area and ensure there is no overflow
  • Assist the engineering team by setting up and inspecting returned material for root cause analysis
  • Assist the production team and sales team in the facility as needed
  • Operate the gantry,  hand trucks, and hand tools to carry out the essential responsibilities listed above
  • Assist Engineering in testing new products, updated products, and for troubleshooting of existing products.
  • Suggest steps to take to prevent issues that are uncovered in repair and testing.
  • Perform production testing on repaired units and warranty replacement units prior to shipment to the customer.

Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Educations Degree (GED) and/or multiple years of experience exhibiting the competency requirements listed above
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
  • Physically capable of carrying out the essential responsibilities listed above.
  • Comfortable with speaking in front of and training groups of people
