What is an assistant detailer?

Assistant Detailers are entry-level professionals who support the work of detailers in industries such as automotive, construction, or shipbuilding. Their main responsibilities include helping to prepare, clean, and maintain surfaces, tools, and materials, as well as assisting in the creation of detailed drawings, plans, or models under supervision. They may also handle administrative tasks, organize project files, and ensure adherence to quality standards. This role provides valuable on-the-job training and experience for those seeking to advance in the detailing field.
