Job description

Position Title: Associate Manager, Production, Denim & Wovens
Reporting to Title: Sr. Manager, Production, Denim + Cut & Sew
Summary:
The Associate Manager, Production, Denim & Wovens is responsible for managing the execution and finished goods deliverables for Denim and Wovens (Women's, Men's, Apparel Accessories) from development hand-off through finished goods production shipment; reporting into Sr. Manager, Production, Denim + Cut & Sew
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Product & Strategy:
  • Maintain working development knowledge of all seasonal denim and woven development, beginning at sketch selection, in order to drive alignment across development and production milestones, deliverables, quality focus, and cost competitive product that supports business strategies
  • Partners with team to identify effective and creative solutions to workflow challenges, speed-to-market improvements, production execution, and capacity/efficiency management in a design driven brand
  • Partner with Sr. Design Director of Denim, Design Director of Wovens, Director of Product Development of Wovens, RTW, and C&S, Sr. Manager Product Development, Denim, and Senior Product Developer, Wovens, to approve raw materials, wash and treatments standards; including diversification, sustainability initiatives, establish standards, and all bulk approvals
  • Attends manufacturer appointments to maintain comprehensive knowledge of collection qualities, trends and vendor capabilities and pricing; while leading all business goal discussions
  • Monitor WIP reports; proactively identify and resolve delays, quality issues, escalate risks early, or supply chain disruptions in partnership with factories and logistics teams to keep production on track

Vendor Management:
  • Responsible for execute day to day communication and planning to internal team and vendors
  • Issue Seasonal Projections with guidance to supply chain and deliverable expectations
  • Support all finished goods costing negotiations in alignment with business goals
  • Supports opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce lead times, MOQ and units cost reduction, and strengthen factory partnership

Calendar & Reporting:
  • Support calendar management workflow, deadlines, and deliverables for denim and wovens across supply chain
  • Responsible for maintaining all RLM data integrity from development hand-off until finished goods (includes, but not limited to: generate and maintain purchase orders, x-fty updates, country of origin maintenance, packing attributes, ect).
  • Supports all quantitative and qualitative production metrics for denim and wovens production reporting
  • Owns a selection of seasonal, monthly, and weekly cross category development and production quantitative reporting

Cross-Functional Coordination:
  • Partner with Sr. Manager Product Development, Denim and Sr. Product Developer, Wovens, throughout the development process to ensure production-ready development pass off ahead of production commitments
  • Supports cross-functional communication plan for sourcing, sustainability, operations process, fit, and findings for denim and wovens; includes all business-wide production announcements
  • Collaborate with Trim Team, Fabric Team, Graphics, and Product Developers to receive pass off on all raw materials relevant for production execution
  • Collaborate with Production counterparts to maximize deliverable results across all categories and report shipping KPIs
  • Work closely with technical design team on key deadlines to assure milestones are achieved
  • Support cross functional coordination with Merchandising (projections), Marketing (MTOs, gifting, campaign activations), Press (duplicates), and Ecomm (ensure integrity of product) to provide product for their delivery requirements
  • Support cross functional coordination with Logistics, Sales, and Merchandising for all downstream product attributes, delivery windows, and any production changes that affect inventory or financial targets and deliverables
  • Supports the integration of AI technology to create efficiencies in all upstream and downstream processes as related, but not limited to denim and wovens product development and production.

Fit, Quality & Compliance:
  • Attend and enforce during all fit sessions design, business, and customer expectations
  • Responsible to ensure quality assurance enforcement, hindsights, and corrective actions; including chargeback validation on Monthly RA reports
  • Supports seasonal regulatory compliance and due diligence practices for denim and wovens; including all regulatory data collection and quarterly supply chain maintenance on Retraced platform

In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential salary for this position is from $80,000 to $85,000 which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in production
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Working knowledge of washes, print techniques, and treatments
  • Excel, PLM platforms, image editing software with drawing tools
  • Eye for detail, detail oriented,
  • Clear & direct communication skills (verbal, written, visual)
  • Solution driven, self-motivated, works well under pressure, adaptable, sense of urgency
  • Ability to work cross functional with various departments.
  • Team player, willingness to learn and pivot approach based on past experiences to ensure successful results
