Position Summary
The Research Assistant/Staff position will be responsible for designing/building custom optics systems for single-molecule spectroscopy, coding instrument control, facilitating data acquisition for protein-RNA binding experiments, developing data processing.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities which may include practicum.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with optics
  • Microscopy and spectroscopy experience
  • Experience working with instrument control, electronics and single-molecule data processing
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting
