Job description

Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #BA-MH)
ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a polite, friendly teenager who enjoys listening to music, spending time with animals, creative writing and performing in local theatre groups. In this role, you will assist with community involvement and teaching independent living skills, such as cooking, budgeting, learning how to use public transportation and finding volunteer opportunities. The ideal candidate would be reliable, friendly, and interested in exploring various activities such as murder mystery dinners. Please respond with a resume or summary of experience.
Hours and Days of work:
The schedule would be 3-4 hours on Saturday or Sunday. A second shift may be available after school hours during the week. Specific hours are flexible and can be worked out with the family upon hire.
Payrate:
$21.00 per hour. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Effective communication and organizational skills required.
  • Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
  • Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
