Job Description:

At The St. James, creative is the main driver in all that we do, we strive to make the best creative work in the world. The Digital Designer provides support for The St. James by building, designing, and finessing creative that becomes a first impression for The St. James.  The Digital Designer provides support to creative teams by building comps to help bring ideas to life. They build mechanicals. They retouch photos. They design digital and video assets for all events and campaigns. The possibilities are endless especially when you see the different spaces and all The St. James has to offer.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee creative project management process leveraging Zendesk request tool.
  • Developing motion graphics, HTML banners and other digital assets for multi-platform digital channel execution.
  • Develop social media paid advertising for programmatic display, Facebook and Instagram paid advertising campaigns.
  • Building, designing, and finessing presentation decks in Google slides, Keynote, and sometimes PowerPoint
  • Developing final mechanical files from creative layouts for print and digital production, paying close attention to the details of typography and placement of each element in the layout, as directed by the creative director
  • Assist creative team with comps, and design when needed
  • Drawing, Illustration, Vector Graphics
  • Photo retouching, image editing, and color management
  • Work closely with traffic manager to ensure efficient file handoffs and saving on the server
  • Maintains file management
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest developments in the software applications used in The St. James
  • Staying ahead of the trends in social, web and advertising to best help the team and yourself grow
  • Support the safety of all members, guests and employees.

Qualifications

  • Highly proficient in HTML 5 asset design and execution.
  • Must have developed complex Facebook ad formats.
  • Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, Google Slides, Excel, Sketch, InVision, SportsEngine, Pardot, and willing to learn new software required by Clients
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel
  • Efficient, and able to meet deadlines
  • Patient, especially when multiple people are asking for something at the same time
  • Ability to listen and take direction, and to also raise concerns if a project will take longer than the time allocated
  • Resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented with high energy and a positive attitude
  • Approachable and open to direction
  • Knowledgeable of safety training, procedures and best practices used throughout the sports and wellness industry
