About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Specialist is part of the Global Campus Marketing team within Enrollment Management at Northeastern University, reporting to the Assistant Director, Performance and Marketing. This role supports the execution of marketing initiatives across select campuses and network-wide priorities, with a focus on email and event communications and content for digital channels. Working closely with internal enrollment marketing stakeholders, the Marketing Specialist plays a key role in developing high-quality, conversion-focused content across email, web, social, and paid campaigns. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented marketer with strong writing skills and the ability to effectively manage priorities within different geographic markets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field

  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a content-focused role

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce and format marketing communications and collateral in alignment with brand standards

  • Hands-on experience supporting digital campaigns, including organic and paid initiatives across web, email, and social channels

  • Self-starter who is collaborative and adaptable, able to think independently, anticipate challenges, and work effectively across teams and stakeholders in different geographic markets

  • Proficiency with marketing tools and systems, as well as project management platforms such as WordPress, Asana, Mailchimp, and social media tools

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop and manage marketing materials across channels, including drafting, editing, and proofreading content for web, email, and social media, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency; support event marketing execution by creating copy for registration pages, invitations, and reminders for specific campuses and network-wide initiatives

  • Support organic social media content development, drafting posts, coordinating creative needs, and ensuring messaging aligns across assigned campuses and network-wide priorities

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage design requests and develop marketing collateral, including one-pagers, presentations, and other supporting materials

  • Assist with paid digital campaigns and targeted initiatives across select campuses and broader network-wide projects, ensuring timely and accurate execution

  • Maintain and update website content for assigned campuses, including enrollment-focused pages and event listings

  • Develop blog and content briefs for copywriters, ensuring alignment with program goals and conversion objectives
