Description

The Marketing Manager is a strategic, creative, and results-oriented professional responsible for leading and executing marketing initiatives across our family of restaurant brands, including Gringo's Tex-Mex, Jimmy Changas, Burger Libre, and The Lunch Box.

This role requires exceptional organizational and project management skills, creativity, restaurant industry expertise, strategic planning, production oversight, and the ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure every marketing initiative is executed with excellence and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing and implementing marketing strategies as they are creating engaging social media content. They will ensure a consistent brand voice across all platforms while driving guest traffic, increasing engagement, and supporting sales growth.

**This is an in-office, full-time position located in Houston, TX.


Marketing Management

  • Report directly to the VP of Marketing and assist in developing and overseeing marketing campaigns that support restaurant openings, promotions, seasonal menus, and brand initiatives.
  • Create strategic briefs that consist of all logistics of a promotion or menu roll-out that is shared with Operations to ensure execution at the store-level is seamless. 
  • Management of the execution of our brand's plan and campaigns through their individual websites, blog, social, etc. 
  • Assist with managing advertising, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities while ensuring alignment with brand strategy and budget.
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, ROI, and key marketing metrics.
  • Assist the Graphic Designer in coordinating with 3rd party vendor(s) and internal teams to deliver creative assets and promotional materials.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating marketing calendars to ensure the timely execution of campaigns.
  • Support local store marketing efforts, including events, community involvement, and cross-promotional partnerships.
  • Plan and promote all local store events (in-store & off-site), working closely with the store's team and operations for successful brand alignment within the guest experience and participation.
  • Work directly with the store to provide ongoing support for their specific marketing needs, including design, menus, advertising, etc., to support their sales goals. 
  • Manage the email blast calendar and provide information to the Graphic Designer that includes: creating tasks, providing previews & subject lines, call to action, and email content. 
  • Lead and manage marketing initiatives with direction from the VP of Marketing for fast casual concepts, Burger Libre & The Lunch Box. 
  • Assist with new store openings, including pre- & post-opening plans.
  • Research and develop a plan for new store openings that assist in introducing our brand to the market, gaining new guest acquisition, hiring needs, and ongoing brand awareness. 
  • Understand market competitive analysis, develop community partners, and build relationships with area media for maximized ongoing support for the restaurant 
  • Assist VP of Marketing to ensure that any signage needs at the store level are fulfilled and uphold our company standards.  

Social Media

  • Create, curate, and publish engaging content (photo, video, copy) across social channels utilizing our social scheduling platform that aligns with promotions, campaigns, and brand storytelling.
  • Monitor and respond to follower comments, messages, and reviews, fostering community engagement and guest loyalty.
  • Run paid social media campaigns and digital ads, optimizing for reach, engagement, and conversions that align with promotions. 


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing at an agency or corporate (in-house) environment & social media management, or related role -- experience in restaurant or hospitality is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a MAC environment. 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage and juggle multiple projects and shifting deadlines.
  • Outstanding attention to project details, keen organization, and an ease with multitasking with natural ability to be a team player. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills with a flair for creative storytelling.
  • Must be self-motivated & driven, resourceful, solutions-oriented & sociable.  
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and content creation.
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales figures, results, and trends. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom.
  • Efficient in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Cap Cut, etc.) for creating reels/training videos. 
  • Knowledge of digital advertising platforms (Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, etc.).
  • A passion for food, hospitality, and engaging with local communities.
  • BONUS: Ability to use a DSLR camera for videography (reels & training).Â
