Job description: The cook is responsible for preparing the meals on the menu in collaboration with their assistant manager and the kitchen helper. They ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, quality, and maintenance standards. Main responsibilities: Prepare daily meals (breakfast and dinner) ensuring that food is served properly (schedule, order, service and presentation); Consider the different menus offered daily; Apply food quality and safety standards both in the kitchen and in the service area; Respond to customer questions and complaints about food or service, find solutions and record them; Ensure that all spaces, equipment and materials are clean, disinfected and tidy; Wash dishes, pots, other kitchen utensils and supplies after service; Coordinate the cleaning schedule, such as cleaning the freezer, storage areas and equipment, with external suppliers when necessary (i.e. accumulated grease, vents, etc.); Plan and communicate maintenance, equipment replacement and new equipment needs with the assistant manager; Requirements: Relevant experience as a cook in a similar environment; Hold the mandatory training in food hygiene and safety (MAPAQ) Ability to use electrical and gas equipment for cooking, dishwashers and other cleaning and disinfection equipment; Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite); Knowledge of food preparation, presentation techniques and quality standards; Excellent interpersonal skills
