Job description

The full-time Food Services Kitchen Assistant supports the ministry of Calvary Church through kitchen maintenance, food preparation, event support, and organization of equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean, restock, and maintain the kitchen and other food service areas within the church. Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and organizational standards.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing food items as directed for both kitchens. Follow menu specifications, portion controls, and presentation standards set by the supervisor.
  • Event Support: Prepare food items in advance for catering events (e.g., desserts, main entrĂ©es, platters). Set up serving areas for events as instructed.
  • Equipment and Supplies: Demonstrate knowledge and safe usage of all kitchen equipment. Assist with cleaning, stocking, and organizing the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as requested by the Food Services Manager or Assistant Manager.

Qualifications: Previous food service experience is required; ServSafe certification is preferred.
