Job description

3 Hour Food Service Helper (Substitutes)

Hourly Rate: $15.00

Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform overall duties as assigned by the cook, assistant cook and/or the manager which may include but are not limited to:

  • Checks daily menu and production records.
  • Setting up service lines with hot/cold food, condiments, and proper serving utensils.
  • Dishing up salads, juices, fresh and canned fruit.
  • Preparing breads and rolls for service.
  • Assisting in the preparation of cold food items for the serving line.
  • Setting up cash registers.
  • Serving on serving line.
  • Work cash register.
  • Refill hot/cold foods as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, prep areas and student tables.
  • Wash dishes, pots and pans.
  • Clean and sanitize other equipment such as Somat machine, work tables, milk coolers and warming units.
  • Count leftovers.
  • Count cash register, complete bank deposit, complete Day End procedure on the computer.
  • Do daily laundry.
