Role Overview

  • Seeking a seasoned Controller to lead global accounting operations for a well-established, mission-driven organization with an international footprint.
  • This is a highly visible leadership role partnering closely with the CFO to strengthen financial operations, modernize systems, and support a growing global organization.
  • In this role, you will:
  • Oversee global accounting operations including month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll oversight, grants accounting, and audit coordination
  • Ensure accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting and maintain strong internal controls across a multi-entity environment
  • Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership to provide financial insights, operational support, and strategic guidance
  • Lead improvements to financial systems, including continued development and optimization of the ERP platform
  • Coordinate annual financial statement audits and manage relationships with external auditors and advisors
  • Oversee grant and program accounting to ensure expenditures align with funding requirements and program budgets
  • Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and financial processes across the organization
  • Manage and mentor accounting and finance staff while helping build scalable systems and processes

Qualifications

  • CPA required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
  • Controller or Assistant Controller experience preferred
  • Nonprofit accounting experience, including grants accounting
  • Experience managing financial statement audits and working with external auditors
  • NetSuite or Intacct or comparable ERP experience
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and support global or multi-entity operations
