STRATACACHE, Inc. is seeking an exceptional individual to lead our controllership function. As a key member of the Finance leadership team and reporting to the CEO, the Controller has overall responsibility for and is accountable for the accounting operations for the majority of the Americas Financial Teams. This includes providing direct leadership to the Accounting Team, production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and disclosures, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles, SEC requirements and international financial reporting standards, where applicable.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a strategic business partner to the Executive Leadership Team & designated Business Leaders
  • Determines accounting and reporting implications for all material business decisions and is also an active participant in the tax strategies and compliance of the Company
  • Mentors and develops the team, managing work assignments, systems training, performance reviews, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a services organization philosophy and roadmap to better support the business, remove roadblocks and ensure appropriate knowledge and support across all levels of the organization
  • Reviews and ensures application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures are in place and followed
  • Oversees the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensures timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data
  • Oversees and reviews all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation
  • Complies with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings as well as GAAP standards and best practices
  • Coordinates the preparation of information to external auditors for annual audits
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic/preferred qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in accounting, finance or business administration is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position required.
  • Demonstrated abilities and successful results in leading and coaching a team required
  • High attention to detail and exceptional communication skills required
  • Strong financial and analytical abilities required
  • Proven ability to drive change, optimize processes and process improvements, and develop and maintain business partnerships across all levels of the organization proactively and successfully.
  • NetSuite experience highly desired
  • Experience with Cost Accounting desired
