The Controller maximizes return on financial assets by establishing policies, controls, and reporting systems while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include financial analysis and reporting, budget management, external audit leadership, tax preparation, cash management, treasury, and payroll.

Additional Areas of Responsibility
  • Accurate and timely publishing of Homewiseโ€™s and subsidiary financial statements by the 15th of each month.
  • Unqualified audit opinion with no significant findings or material weaknesses noted.
  • Ensuring continued development of team members and cross training for every task.

Work may be performed from either our Santa Fe or Albuquerque office.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or a related field
  • 5+ years of financial / accounting analysis or related work experience in a financial institution.
Preferred
  • Active CPA designation
  • Non-profit experience
  • Sage Intacct experience
  • Masterโ€™s Degree/MBA in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or related fields.
