Position Summary:
Equinox Engineering is seeking an Intermediate Cost Controller / Scheduler to support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking project costs, forecasting, and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track project costs, prepare cost reports, and maintain budget controls.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Monitor project progress and milestones, identifying potential delays and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assist in project forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, planners, and project managers, to ensure schedule and budget alignment.
  • Support contract administration activities, including change orders and cost tracking.
  • Provide data and reports for management decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • 4 – 8 years of experience in cost control and scheduling in oil & gas or mining
  • Must have proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6 and MS Project) and cost management tools.
  • Must have advanced level in Microsoft Excel (i.e. comfortable with building and maintaining sheets with complex formulas, pivot tables, graphs and data analysis tools).
