A warm and welcoming family based in Kirkland, Washington is seeking a dependable and compassionate Family Assistant / Companion to provide long-term household and personal support. The family recently relocated and is looking for someone who can help bring structure, consistency, and calm to their home following a family loss.
The role includes companion support for the family's 19-year-old son who is autistic and benefits from companionship and social engagement. Additional responsibilities include helping manage household logistics, errands, household vendors, light housekeeping, and travel support.
The family values acceptance, flexibility, discretion, and a genuine desire to help support a household navigating change and loss with compassion and stability.
Responsibilities:
Companion & Family Support
  • Provide companionship and consistent support for the family's 19-year-old son
  • Encourage social engagement and shared activities based on his interests, including technology and gaming
  • Accompany the family during travel and overnight stays as needed
  • Assist with scheduling and organization for family activities and appointments

Household Assistance
  • Coordinate and oversee household vendors, contractors, and service appointments
  • Manage errands, household organization, and general day-to-day logistics
  • Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining household functionality between professional cleanings
