Job description
Registered Nurse - Operating Room
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team in the Operating Room. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting specialties including General Surgery, Plastics, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, and Vascular procedures.
Schedule: 06:30-14:30, Weekly on Mondays
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room and equipment.
- Provide care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and maintain patient safety during surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and communicate effectively regarding patient care.
- Perform necessary documentation and post-operative care as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must possess an active RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Operating Room setting.
- Ability to float to PACU if needed, though not required.
