Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will be involved in pre-operative, PACU, and procedure support for both general and advanced endoscopy procedures, including ERCP, EUS, and bronchoscopy.
Responsibilities
- Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
- Assist with various endoscopy procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, and advanced endoscopy techniques.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Van Gogh and ION scopes, as well as electrosurgical units.
- Provide post-procedure care and education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience, preferably in an Endoscopy or similar setting.
- Current RN license valid in the state of practice (or compact license).
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Charge experience is preferred.
