Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant – Clinical Research

Chicago, IL | Full-Time | Monday–Friday


Bring your psychiatric expertise to clinical research. Join IMA Clinical Research and help advance new mental health treatments through clinical trials—performing psychiatric assessments, evaluating study participants, and collaborating with an experienced research team, all on a predictable weekday schedule with no evenings, weekends, or on-call.


Salary: $130,000–$150,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.


What You’ll Do

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments

  • Administer standardized psychiatric rating scales and research assessments

  • Determine participant eligibility for clinical studies

  • Complete protocol-required clinical and physical assessments

  • Partner with investigators and research staff to ensure high-quality study execution

  • Maintain accurate documentation per regulatory and GCP standards


What We’re Looking For

  • Active Illinois NP or PA license

  • PMHNP certification, or PA with experience in psychiatry/behavioral health

  • Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or mental health

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills

  • Interest in clinical research or evidence-based psychiatric care
