Job description

SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of duties pertaining to the outcome measures and psychological testing of Adolescent Partial Hospital and SafeQuest patients, scoring of tests, and recording test results. Trains and supervises milieu staff in administration of appropriate tests. Provides services to children and adolescents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedules, administers, and scores outcomes and measures psychological and neuropsychological tests for APHP and SafeQuest patients.

  • Submits test data to the Senior Psychology Assistant/Supervisor for interpretation.

  • Codes and stores data for future retrieval and use by Senior Psychology Assistant and Program Psychologist.

  • Reviews patient Hospital records. Complies and submits data and relevant behavioral observations of the patient to the Senior Psychology Assistant/Supervisor.

  • Works with the Senior Psychology Assistant and/or Psychologist to analyze the data that is collected.

  • Performs a variety of related duties to assist Program personnel on research projects.

  • Maintains accurate inventory and records of psychological equipment and supplies to ensure efficient operation.

  • Designs appropriate forms to facilitate scoring of outcomes measures, psychological and neuropsychological tests.

  • Documents patient information, relevant to outcomes measures when administered, in EPIC.

  • Provides patient satisfaction questionnaire to Teens at time of discharge.

  • Meets with parents/guardians at time of admission and discharge to administer outcomes questionnaire and Press Ganey Surveys.

  • Works with clinicians to schedule and coordinate times to meet with parents/guardians.

  • Performs other related duties as required, assigned, or directed.

  • Observes all Hospital policies, rules, and regulations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Psychology or related field is required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.

EXPERIENCE:

Six months of direct child care work with emotionally impaired youth or in a related field is required. Familiarity with statistics and computer data entry preferred.

INDEPENDENT ACTION:

Performs independently within Program policies and practices. Refers specific complex problems to Supervisor and Senior Psychology Assistant where clarification of Program policies and procedures may be required.

Pay Range:

$19.97-$32.96
