Pay: $45,000 - $55,000 (Adjust based on skill/experiences)


About this Role:

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Detailing Department Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will keep our engineering and detailing department running smoothly by handling day-to-day administrative tasks. You do not need drafting experience for this position. We will teach you our filing systems, our processes, and how to use the companyโ€™s software. If you enjoy organizing files, keeping projects on track, supporting a hard-working team, and are interested in detailing/engineering environments this is the perfect spot for you!


Key Responsibilities:

  • File Management: Scan, print, log, and organize blueprint drawings and project paperwork. Organize Submittals, Transmittals, and RFIs.
  • Digital Organization: Maintain neat electronic project folders and ensure files are named correctly.
  • Communication: Handle incoming department communications and route emails to the correct detailer or project manager.
  • Tracking Logs: Update simple spreadsheets to track when drawings are sent out or received.
  • General Office Support: Assist with mailing, data entry, scanning documents, and helping the detailing team with basic daily tasks.


What Are We Looking For:


Experience: No experience is fine. 1+ years of experience in an office assistant, clerk, or customer service role, preferred.

Tech Savvy: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and other standard email applications.

Organization: High attention to detail and keeping paper and digital files perfectly organized.

Communication: Friendly, professional phone manners and clear written email skills.

Reliability: Dependable, punctual attendance for an in-person office environment.

Coachability: Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and clear potential to master detailing responsibilities.


Experience in construction, manufacturing, or engineering environments are a plus, but not required.
