Job Summary:
Palolo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center part of Palolo Chinese Home is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team in Honolulu, HI. As a Registered Nurse, you will have the chance to make a difference in the lives of our residents and be part of a dynamic healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a customer-focused environment, providing high-quality care for our residents. This position is onsite, allowing you to build strong relationships with both residents and colleagues.
Starting Pay: $41.00 - $50.00 based on experience and skillset

Responsibilities:
  • Administering treatments and medications to residents.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments involving residents.
  • Coordinating and documenting individualized care plans.
  • Serve as the immediate coordinator of an assigned unit, overseeing the work of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA's) and stepping in as the unit supervisor in the absence of the Charge Nurse.

Qualifications:
  • Possess strong critical thinking abilities to assess and evaluate the care needs and treatments of residents effectively
  • A general understanding of managing the moods and behaviors of residents is also essential to provide appropriate care and support.
  • Supervisory skills to enforce work rules, cooperate with personnel in other departments, and maintain resident information with utmost confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with Palolo Chinese Home employees, residents, responsible parties, and all other entities involved in resident care.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • 2 step TB clearance
  • Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting, and Drug Screen Clearance
  • Proficiency in English is crucial for effective communication with residents and the health care team
  • Current Hawaii RN license in good standing.
