Job description

Works under the supervision of the Security Operations Manager/Chief Security Officer. Responsible for providing a safe and secure environment throughout the entire system. Monitoring both inside and outside areas. Responds immediately to any situation requiring security personnel. Keeps accurate documentation of all rounds and security incidents. Performs other duties as assigned.
SECURITY OFFICER I:
A. Education, Work Experience and Licensure
i. High School graduate or equivalent.
ii. Non-Violent Crisis Interventional required within 3 months of employment.
b. Licensure/Certification:
i. IAHSS Private Security Officer Basic Certificate obtained within 12 months from hire date.
ii. Ohio Driver's License valid and in good standing
c. Experience:
i. One year's prior law enforcement, security, or military experience preferred. Other emergency services experience may be substituted for this preferred requirement.
SECURITY OFFICER II:
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Licensure/Certification: Basic Police Officer Training Certificate, State Corrections Training Certificate, 20-hour Private Security Training from the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy, equivalent program of specialized law enforcement or corrections training required or International Association of Hospital Safety and Security Basic/Advanced Certificate.
  • Experience: Two-year prior law enforcement, Military, Corrections or Security experience required.
  • Driver's License valid and in good standing
