The impact you’ll make

Within Semiverse® Solutions at Lam Research, we build innovative software products to solve semiconductor technology challenges. Our leading 3D modeling software is revolutionizing the way semiconductor chips are fabricated around the world. Enabled by our core intellectual property – an accelerated 3D voxel modeling and visualization engine – our software is highly successful and is quickly evolving as our business and customer base expand rapidly.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will assist the Engineering Operations team in supporting and enabling our growing software organization. You will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our continuous integration & continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and development infrastructure. You will work closely with our Technical Lead and the rest of the Scrum team in an Agile software environment. You’ll collaborate with our software engineering teams and with our IT organization to achieve a robust and scalable development and release environment. This is a career-level position with opportunities for independently driving projects to completion as well as technical career growth.

What you’ll do
  • Implement DevOps maintenance and enhancement user stories as part of the Engineering Operations Scrum team
  • Support CI/CD infrastructure both on-prem and in Azure Cloud
  • Assist developers and QA engineers with day-to-day usage of CI infrastructure
  • Support internal and external desktop and Cloud product releases
  • Work with our central IT organization and local IT technician to address issues and coordinate IT infrastructure improvements
  • Work with central InfoSec organization to remediate software application and OS vulnerabilities throughout the org
Who we’re looking for

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Team player who enjoys supporting and working with others
  • Systematic work style and excellent attention to detail
  • Associate degree in STEM field with at least 5 years professional experience in development operations or similar role
  • Proficient with source control tools, such as git
  • Proficient in both Windows and Linux environments
  • Proficient with one or more scripting languages, such as bash, batch, or Python
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, ADO, or TeamCity
  • Proficient with source code managers, such as Bitbucket or Azure Repos
Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field with at least 3 years professional experience in development operations or similar role
  • Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience with repository managers, such as Artifactory
  • Understanding of IT and InfoSec requirements for DevOps systems
  • Experience with cloud computing services, especially Microsoft Azure
  • Experience managing virtual machines in a Hyper‑V cluster
  • Experience with gmake, scons or cmake
  • Experience with integrating SAST and DAST tools, such as Sonarqube or Black Duck, into CI/CD pipelines
