Job description

Overview
Registered Nurse – Endoscopy, Rochester, New York. This travel assignment begins 10/05/2026 and runs for 8 weeks in a hospital-based procedural/endoscopy unit. Weekly pay ranges from $2,377 to $2,505 per week. Shifts are 10 hours, four days per week (08:00–18:30). On-call coverage includes weeknights, weekends, and holidays (approximately 4–6 shifts per month).

Responsibilities
- Provide direct RN care for adult and geriatric patients in a procedural/endoscopy unit, including sedation monitoring and airway management.
- Assist with endoscopic and bronchoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, and related interventional studies) and contribute to patient positioning and recovery.
- Perform phlebotomy and IV insertion/maintenance; manage specimen collection, labeling, and handling according to protocol.
- Maintain EPIC charting for all stages of care: pre-, intra-, and post-procedure documentation; medications administered; communicate status with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor patient safety, vital signs, and post-procedure recovery; respond to adverse events and support post-anesthesia/PACU as needed.
- Demonstrate procedural equipment familiarity and assist with setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of devices such as ERBE electrosurgical units and endoscopy/bronchoscopy processors.
Requirements
- Current, active NY RN license in hand to submit
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- EPIC charting experience required
- Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV insertion/maintenance
- Ability to work in an adult/geriatric procedural/endoscopy setting and support conscious sedation monitoring and airway management
- Compliance notes: candidates must be located >75 miles from the assignment location; RTO requests must be limited to 10 days or fewer; COVID-19 vaccination not required; background checks may be reviewed case-by-case
