Position OverviewQinetiQ US is seeking a Buyer for our Lorton, VA location.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of a Buyer include the strategic sourcing of materials and services, managing procurement processes, and optimizing cost without compromising on quality. This involves:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals.
- Negotiate and execute purchase orders and Long-Term Agreement contracts with suppliers and secure advantageous terms.
- Perform price/cost analysis.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new suppliers.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements and regulations
- Track multiple vendor service accounts regularly to ensure invoices, contracts, renewals, and account information are accurate and up to date
- Provide reports on account spending associated with site service invoicing
- Resolve billing or service issues promptly, and coordinate with vendors to prevent disruptions
- 5 years of experience- 2+ years in a procurement or purchasing role, with at least 1+ years in a handling complex procurement task.
- Understands Contractors Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) requirements

The salary range for this role is $190,000-116,000K USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
