SENTRY (#1601)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under direct supervision of the Principal and the Safety and Security Coordinator, patrol and monitor school buildings to ensure a safe and secure building environment, as well as the personal safety of students, staff, and visitors.


  • Monitor main entrance and key locations of each building (elementary, BT, PHS),
  • Monitor camera surveillance(1 per PHS, 1 per BT, and 1 per each elementary building), assist building principals in the retrieval, review, and copying of camera footage
  • Complete daily tours of each building to ensure the building is secure and the physical facilities are safe and secure. Manage traffic before and after school
  • Oversee main entrance presence and visitor management protocols
  • Conduct door, window, and parking lot checks
  • Escort students
  • Conduct bathroom sweeps
  • Complete routine monitoring of lunches, hallways, and afterschool student conduct
  • Support implementation of emergency procedures
  • Deliver suspension letters
  • Facility use management
  • K-12 coverage, as needed
  • PM coverage, as needed, with vehicle for campus sweeps

 QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.  Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:   

  • High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to successfully perform the duties of the position
  • Successful experience in security or law enforcement is preferred
  • Experience working with adolescents preferred

 
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Safety and Security Coordinator
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten-month position. Competitive benefit package
SALARY: $18.00 per hour
