Job description

Description BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, washing windows, cleaning, sanitizing restrooms etc. Organizing and maintaining custodial closets. Inspecting and maintaining assigned custodial equipment.

Emptying trash containers and removing trash to dumpsters. EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent. Some college preferred.

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous custodial/janitorial experience preferred. SPECIAL TRAINING AND SKILLS: Must be at least 18 years old. Knowledge in use of power equipment is helpful.

Able to drive city vehicle between various sites. Requires valid Michigan Driver's license and good driving record. Able to work without direct supervision and prepare written reports on work performed.

STARTING DATE & WORK SCHEDULE: ASAP 15-20 hours per week. Afternoons roughly 2pm - 6pm. Approximately 4 hours per day, 4-5 days per week including weekends.

Hours depend on seasonal schedule of parks.
