Mount View High School in Thorndike, ME is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Principal. The Assistant Principal will support the principal in providing leadership for the instructional program, promoting a safe and orderly learning environment, supervising staff, and fostering a culture of high expectations. This role requires a dynamic leader who is student-focused, organized, and capable of managing day-to-day operations while also supporting long-term school goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in supervising instructional staff, evaluating teacher performance, and promoting professional growth
  • Manage student discipline and attendance, ensuring fairness and consistency
  • Collaborate with staff, students, families, and the wider community
  • Support scheduling, testing, and other operational procedures
  • Serve as a visible and approachable presence throughout the school
