It’s 7:30 a.m. in Brookfield, CT. You grab your work order list, check in with the Facilities Manager, and head out for a quick walkthrough of the building. A scuffed wall needs paint, a door closer wants adjustment, and a filter change is scheduled for one of the rooftop units. By mid-morning, you’ve restocked supplies, responded to a maintenance request with a smile, and documented a few items to watch during the next inspection. That’s a typical day for our Building Systems Maintenance Assistant—hands-on, varied, and essential to keeping our spaces safe and welcoming.

What You’ll Do
  • Tackle routine upkeep: cleaning, touch-up painting, basic carpentry, and minor fixes.
  • Partner with the Facilities Manager to conduct facility inspections and flag maintenance priorities.
  • Track and replenish parts, tools, and materials to keep work flowing.
  • Answer maintenance tickets promptly and deliver courteous, solutions-focused service.
  • Work to the highest safety standards and follow all regulations and site protocols.
  • Pitch in on special projects and any additional tasks that help the team succeed.
