Job description

Overview

The Enterprise Truck Rental Division has an opening for a Spring 2027 Truck Rental Sales Account Specialist Internship.

Our Truck Rental Division provides transportation solutions within the truck rental industry. The Account Specialist Intern is responsible for influencing the buying decision, while exceeding the customer's expectations for service, knowledge and professionalism. The Account Specialist Intern will be knowledgeable of our complete menu of services including vehicle acquisition, maintenance management, insurance management, licensing and cycling of our trucks.

Our interns go at a highly energized pace. From day one as a paid intern with Enterprise, you will gain hands-on experience and knowledge to learn the business, to learn how to ultimately manage the branch and to support the entire business. The Account Specialist Intern performs duties in all aspects of a branch to become familiar with line and staff functions, operations, management viewpoints and company policies and practices that affect each aspect of the business.

If you're looking to hit the ground running, the Enterprise Account Specialist Internship will help you build valuable business and leadership skills. For a university/college student, the real-world professional experience you'll receive during the internship will help you stand apart from the crowd, and will be more than just a line on your resume.

This position offers hourly compensation of $18.00 per hour.

This position is part-time (25 hours/week) 12 week program with 2 round options, we will work around your class schedule: January 6th, 2027 - March 26th, 2027 or March 29th, 2027 - June 11th, 2027 (Dates are non-negotiable).

Responsibilities

When you join our Account Specialist Internship Program, you'll soon discover that every day is different because it is filled with new, exciting, rewarding and often unexpected opportunities. For a season, we'll put you in the middle of everything, just like our Account Specialists. We'll give you the chance to develop the skills you need to sell our products, gain new accounts, manage a fleet of vehicles, take care of customers, develop marketing strategies and build relationships with accounts and customers.

During our internship, you'll use the skills you learn to complete intern projects and engage in some friendly competition with your peers. You may also be eligible for performance incentives and employee referral rewards.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be a Senior enrolled in a full time Bachelors degree program for the upcoming semester in a college or university set to graduate Spring 2027.
  • Must have a minimum of six months experience in sales, customer service, management or leadership.
  • Must be able to to work 25 hours/week and make a 12 week commitment beginning either January 6th, 2027 or March 26th, 2027, depending on academic calendar. 
  • Must attend a College/University in Washington state.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 civil moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

We are subject to certain Department of Transportation Regulations.

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and be qualified to drive under D.O.T. regulations. Applicants will be required to submit an appropriate medical examiner's certificate, or submit to and successfully complete a D.O.T. medical examination.
