Position SummaryThe Educational Assistant supports the Interior Design program by maintaining lab facilities, organizing program resources, and assisting faculty and students with daily operations. This position plays a key role in student success by providing updated materials, supporting classroom activities, and offering tutoring in software programs used throughout the Interior Design curriculum.
Primary Duties Performed- Maintain equipment in the two design labs/studios.
- Manage and organize the Interior Design Resource Room, including maintaining materials and samples for student use.
- Pick up materials from interior design firms as needed.
- Assist instructors with:
- Inputting online quizzes
- Making copies and preparing instructional materials
- Setting up classrooms and departmental events on campus
- Provide tutoring and support to students in software programs used within the Interior Design curriculum.
- Assist with updating student material resources to align with current industry standards and expectations.
Qualifications/Experience- Experience working in an interior design educational or studio environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in interior design software programs through coursework, internships, or professional experience (Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Enscape, Adobe Photoshop)
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
