Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, offering you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients using our secure telehealth platform. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and document case histories from initial intake to discharge, ensuring comprehensive records are maintained.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans tailored to each clientโ€™s needs, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of techniques to encourage clinical engagement and promote emotional healing.
  • Track and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and providing continual support throughout their journey.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health practitioners to optimize patient care.
  • Assist in managing referrals to other services or specialists as needed, ensuring clients receive comprehensive care and follow-up.
  • Engage with clientsโ€™ families and caregivers, providing support and strategies for managing mental health challenges that may arise in the home environment.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in psychotherapy and mental health treatment, applying this knowledge in clinical practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adults, adolescents, and families experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Our diverse client demographic represents various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, providing you an enriching experience to apply culturally competent care.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that facilitate effective rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to diagnose mental health disorders and formulate appropriate treatment plans using approved guidelines.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience as a mental health counselor providing telehealth services or in a remote work setting.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to streamline documentation and enhance patient care.
  • Experience with addiction recovery and co-occurring disorders, providing you insight into complex client needs.
  • Familiarity with AMHCA best practices and a strong understanding of the pharmacological treatments clients might be undergoing.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
