2SP Sports is seeking a motivated Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach to train youth athletes ages 8–18, with a primary sport focus on hockey, baseball, and soccer. This full-time role blends hands-on coaching, athlete development, sales responsibilities, and content collaboration in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing young athletes, understands long-term athletic development, and is comfortable building relationships with families, athletes, and coaches. This role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to contribute to both training excellence and business growth. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Coaching & Athlete Development Design and deliver team-based and small-group strength and conditioning sessions for youth athletes ages 8–18 Implement dynamic warm-ups, flexibility and mobility work, multi-directional speed and agility training, and plyometric programming Apply age-appropriate, sport-specific training methods aligned with 2SP's training philosophy Assist and collaborate with skill-specific coaches to support athlete development across disciplines Oversee weight room operations, including safety, organization, equipment upkeep, and session flow Provide ongoing feedback, coaching cues, and motivation to athletes in a positive and professional manner Facility & Operations Maintain a safe, clean, and professional training environment Assist with scheduling, session flow, and daily gym operations as needed Support onboarding and orientation of new athletes and families Contribute to internal systems, programming documentation, and operational processes Actively contribute to gym revenue through athlete enrollment, program upgrades, and retention Conduct facility tours, consultations, and introductory sessions for prospective athletes and families Follow up with inbound leads, trial athletes, and warm prospects in a timely and professional manner Educate parents and athletes on training programs, pricing, and long-term development pathways Build and maintain relationships with local teams, coaches, and community partners Track sales activity, leads, and conversions using internal systems Collaborate with leadership to meet individual and team-based sales goals Content & Brand Collaboration Collaborate with the content team to create strength & conditioning-related content and educational materials Assist with demonstrations, filming, and concept development for digital and in-gym content Represent the 2SP brand professionally across all platforms and interactions SCHEDULE & TIME COMMITMENT Base Schedule: Summer (June 1 – August 31): 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM Winter (September 1 – May 31): 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM , with Saturday appointment-based sessions Schedule is a base estimate and is subject to change based on business needs Additional training sessions assigned as needed Expected to work 32–36 in-gym hours per week Additional administrative hours expected for programming, sales follow-ups, content, and planning COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $40,000 – $45,000, based on experience Performance-based bonuses and additional compensation opportunities Benefits and PTO packages Annual Continuing Education stipend Growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1–3 years of experience training youth athletes (ages 18 & under) Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field Strength & Conditioning certification (CSCS, NSCA, or similar) Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including demonstrating exercises and lifting/moving equipment up to 50 lbs Strong work ethic, urgency, and professionalism Ability to understand and implement the 2SP training methodology Strong communication and interpersonal skills with athletes, parents, staff, and partners Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Comfortable engaging in sales conversations and relationship-building PREFERRED / RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge and experience in private-sector strength & conditioning Experience in the baseball or hockey training industry Understanding of biomechanics related to baseball and rotational-based sports Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and athlete programming platforms Background in sales, customer service, or client-facing roles #J-18808-Ljbffr
