Job Summary and Qualifications

Supports Bariatric and Spine program staff and educators through planning, implementing, and evaluating educational efforts and learning methods (i.e., 1:1 coaching, classroom lectures, power point presentations, e-learning, etc.).

Your role will include:

  • You will seek to understand customers, educate customers, builds collaborative relationships.
  • You will identify issues, problems and opportunities. Gather information, interpret information, generate alternatives.
  • You will develop direction, structure, facilitate goal accomplishment.
  • You will demonstrate knowledge of key financial indicators, builds business case for actions.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelors Degree in a healthcare related field.
  • Two to four years scrubbing/circulating experience in/with bariatric and spine surgery, or minimum of two years previous RN clinical experience in an acute care setting or Bariatric and Spine program experience or experience working with sensitive diagnosis and procedures preferred.
  • Current Florida State Registered Nurse license or Licensed Dietitian.
  • Current BLS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong customer relations, management and planning skills.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, families and the community.
  • Specific knowledge required: patient educator, support group leader/champion, assist with website forums, facilitator training for support groups, and review and summarize patient psychiatric evaluations.
