Medical Assistant - Pain / Ortho

Location: Greenville, TX

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Pain Management and Orthopedics team in Greenville, TX. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the practice and deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures related to pain management and orthopedic care.
  • Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
  • Prepare patients for exams and treatments, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
  • Assist with billing and coding related to pain and orthopedic services.
  • Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in pain management, orthopedics, or related clinical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures related to pain and orthopedic care.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
