AC Plus+ Network Engineer (Mid-Level)
Key Details

  • Location: Milpitas, CA 95035
  • Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
  • Contract Duration: 6 months
  • Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week (flexible scheduling; e.g., 4 hours x 5 days or 5 hours x 4 days)
  • Experience Level: Mid-level (6–8 years overall experience)
  • Pay Rate: $57–$64 per hour
  • Work Authorization: W2 candidates only; not open to H1B, 1099, or C2C contractors

Role Overview
This role supports daily network operations as an extended member of the customer team. The Network Engineer will provide hands-on, on-site support with a focus on networking hardware and lab connectivity, working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

  • Be physically present on-site to support network and lab operations
  • Perform routine network health checks to ensure standards and performance are met
  • Provide Layer 1 support, including physical network connections and setup
  • Assist with resolving connectivity issues in a lab environment efficiently
  • Update and maintain technical documentation and operational processes
  • Monitor tasks, identify potential issues, and support resolution efforts
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and support teams as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in networking or infrastructure support
  • Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies
  • Experience with wireless controllers and access points
  • Working knowledge of networking hardware, including switching and routing platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Aruba networking solutions, including Controllers, AirWave, ClearPass, SD-WAN, and related platforms
  • Familiarity with multi-vendor, fast-paced lab or enterprise environments
  • Background in root cause analysis, change management, and operational support
  • Aruba or other relevant networking certifications
