Job description

Within Amazon, The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for managing the physical workplace - inclusive of programs, products, and services - that helps enable Amazonians to do their best work. The globally diverse team oversees Amazon's corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF programs, products, and services include day-to-day facilities management, on-site food and beverage offerings, commute programs, environmental health & safety, sustainability, launching new corporate offices, and moving employees.

Join our dynamic and evolving GREF communications team in a role that offers opportunity for growth and hands-on impact. As an Employee Communications Specialist, you'll support the planning, production, and delivery of internal communications that keep GREF's global employee population informed, connected, and engaged. This role is ideal for employee communications professionals who are detail-oriented, organized, and energized by fast-paced environments. You'll work closely with the Senior GREF Communications Manager to execute against an established employee and executive communications strategy, managing day-to-day content production, channel maintenance, and event logistics. This position demands strong writing and editing skills, comfort managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, and a collaborative mindset.

Key job responsibilities

- Manage and monitor GREF Slack channels, including editorial planning, posting cadence, channel guidelines, and engagement tracking to optimize reach and participation.

- Maintain and update sections of GREF Hub (intranet/internal wiki), ensuring content accuracy and effectiveness. Work with the production team to improve navigation and site architecture, create page templates, and provide guidance to teams on self-service page management.
- Support the production and distribution of org-wide emails, including formatting, distribution list management, and coordination with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on messaging.

- Support the planning and execution of the biannual All-GREF Global Meetings, including event logistics coordination, agenda management, run-of-show development, speaker and stakeholder coordination, event promotion, and post-event surveys and recaps.
- Assist with logistics and promotional communications for additional org-wide events like townhalls, fireside chats, and other employee culture and engagement activities.
- Track and report on communications metrics (email open rates, event attendance, Slack engagement, page views) to inform/evolve employee comms strategy and demonstrate impact.
