Job description

Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Marshall, TX
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
LHH is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a growing organization in Marshall, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple systems and priorities, and enjoys building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors. Candidates with prior oil and gas industry experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Process purchase orders, receipts, and vendor invoices while ensuring accurate coding and compliance with company policies
  • Manage high-volume accounts payable transactions, including manual invoice processing
  • Analyze accounts payable data and prepare reports for divisional leadership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, payment questions, and dispute resolution
  • Review AP aging reports and vendor statements to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate liability reporting
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including divisional accruals
  • Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement of AP processes
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role handling high-volume transactions
  • Experience with manual invoice processing and data entry
  • Oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple systems and competing priorities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while meeting deadlines
