Position Summary
The Extract Technician at SENTA Partners is responsible for preparing and compounding allergen immunotherapy extracts under the guidance of a licensed physician. This role involves maintaining accuracy and compliance with established protocols to ensure the safe and effective production of allergen extracts used in patient treatments. This will be a dual role that will be trained in mixing serum and functioning as an MOA on the floor as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Mixing extract properly from physician formulations.
  • Securing information relating to extracts from pharmaceutical companies.
  • Generating the billing for extract as appropriate.
  • Obtaining and forwarding the daily pollen counts to the appropriate media during pollen season.
  • Ordering office supplies as needed.
  • Briefing the Director of Extract lab & Pollen Analysis of any situations requiring attention.
  • Other duties as may be necessary in order for the mixing lab to operate properly.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • High School graduate or G.E.D equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of data entry experience is required. Two to Three (2-3) years of data entry experience is preferred.
  • One (1) year prior experience in a medical practice is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge of allergy testing methods, immunotherapy protocols, clinical procedures, aseptic techniques, and related medical terminology.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Dexterous/strong hand skills.
  • Availability to work 10 hour days Mon-Thurs with rotating Fridays
