Job description

Looking for a motivated and experienced medical assistant for a busy private ENT clinic.

Duties to include:

Checking schedules and organizing patient flow; taking vitals, medical history and reason for visit information, accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting providers with various treatment and or procedures; charting; relaying instructions to patients/families; answering calls and providing pertinent information; providing allergy testing and injections, and assisting physicians with all aspect of patient visit requirements.

Setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocol; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records.


This position will cross train on patient check in and out and patient scheduling as well as other administrative duties.


Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

High School degree or GED

2 years medical office experience required.

Current BCLS (Basic Critical Life Support) certification

HIPAA regulations and guidelines for both the doctors and patient data

Travel between 2 locations, Monroe and Blakeney/Charlotte
