SUMMARY OVERVIEW

The Ramp Catering Security position involves ensuring the security and integrity of catering services on the airport ramp. This role requires conducting thorough inspections of catering equipment and supplies before they are loaded onto aircraft, adhering to strict security protocols. The individual is also responsible for monitoring catering operations to prevent unauthorized access and tampering with food and beverage items. Additionally, the position demands close collaboration with catering staff, airline representatives, and airport security to maintain high safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough security checks of catering supplies and equipment before loading onto aircraft 
  • Adhere to strict security protocols as per TSA regulations and company policies 
  • Monitor ramp area to prevent unauthorized access and ensure safety 
  • Inspect catering vehicles and personnel for compliance with security standards 
  • Collaborate with catering and airline staff to ensure secure operations 
  • Report any security breaches or suspicious activities immediately to supervisors 
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections and security-related incidents 
  • Participate in regular security training and stay updated with current practices 
  • Assist in the implementation of emergency response plans for the ramp area 
  • Operate security equipment like metal detectors and X-ray machines efficiently 
  • Ensure the secure sealing and unsealing of catering equipment 
  • Guide catering staff on security compliance and protocols 
  • Participate in audits and reviews of ramp security procedures 
  • Work closely with law enforcement and airport security when necessary 
  • Provide escort to catering vehicles within the airport premises 
  • Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Experience in security, preferably in an aviation or catering environment 
  • Knowledge of airport security and safety protocols 
  • Vigilant with strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  •  Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  •  Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
