Job description


As a Systems Engineer II at Honeywell, you'll contribute to the design, integration, verification, and delivery of aerospace systems and solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and performance. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, program, and product teams to implement requirements, resolve issues, and improve system quality throughout the lifecycle.
You will work in Phoenix, AZ on a hybrid schedule. No relocation offered.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the design and development of complex aerospace systems, ensuring alignment with Honeywell's quality and safety standards.
  • Decompose, trace, and manage system and subsystem requirements; maintain bidirectional traceability and validate acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to system architecture, interface control documentation, and design analyses; assist with trade studies and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and drive project success.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring systems meet performance and compliance requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems engineering within aerospace or related industries.
  • Knowledge of systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting in complex aerospace systems.
  • Proficiency with aerospace engineering tools and technologies, including system modeling and simulation software.
  • Experience with compliance standards and regulatory requirements relevant to aerospace systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently under guidance, with sound judgment.
