Job description

Job Summary:
The National Accounts Clerk works under the direction of the National Accounts Supervisor; and is responsible for supporting the billing, reconciliation, and customer service functions related to all national account programs. This position serves as a liaison between customers, sales representatives, vendors, and internal departments to ensure accurate processing of national account transactions, credits, and claims. The National Account Clerk plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring timely reimbursement and account resolution.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Navigate vendor websites to process car dealer claims, secondary supply claims, and retrieve the credits for K&M Tire claims and our customers claims.
  2. Print, sort, match and code vendor invoices from vendor websites (process varies per vendor)
  3. Enter National Account Billing (NAB) credits and chargebacks into K&M Point of Sale system; accurately offsetting A/R invoices.
  4. Enter accounts payable data in K&M Point of Sales system for previously issued customer credits, ensuring proper linking of the K&M credit invoice and the vendor billing.
  5. Monitor & manage the Invoice Status Report for the K&M Tire AR Program account
  6. Monitor outstanding claims and follow up with vendors to ensure timely resolution and receipt of credits
  7. Assist in answering department telephones calls and directing as needed.
  8. Communicate and report problems, discrepancies, or concerns to the National Accounts Supervisor.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
  10. Support company goals and uphold K&M Values.
  11. Monitor and maintain the National Account email inbox on a rotating weekly assignment. (Level II)
  12. Process and pass National Account credits and chargebacks through the K&M point of sale system. (Level II)
  13. Process Government Claims through vendor websites. (Level II)
  14. Process National Account claims through vendor websites. (Level II)
  15. Look up government pricing through vendor websites and verify program eligibility. (Level II)
  16. Research discrepancies, errors, or problems to come up with a solution. (Level III)
  17. Prepare and maintain weekly department reporting. (Level III)

  1. Basic knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and spreadsheet applications.

National Accounts Clerk I Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent

National Accounts Clerk II Minimum Qualifications:
  • Qualifications for National Accounts Clerk I; plus
  • 2-year accounting degree or relevant work experience

National Accounts Clerk III Minimum Qualifications:
  • Qualifications for National Accounts Clerk II; plus

Ability to back-up to National Accounts Supervisor for a temporary period of time.Actively participate in Leadership Development
