Job description

Morton Buildings, Inc. is the industry leader in post-frame construction. The Commercial Project Assistant is a full-time position responsible for supporting the project managers, project engineers, and superintendents with administrative tasks, interfacing with the entire construction team from concept to completion.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinates all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tasks for the department, creating new vendors for designBuild and Commercial projects, and processing purchase orders and invoices.
  • Oversees the AIA process, completing payment applications, maintaining records, and providing reports as requested.
  • Provides departmental support, processing lien waivers, maintaining vehicle records, preparing expense reports, tracking per diem requests, scheduling department meetings and trainings, and preparing department metrics as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
  • Associate degree or 3 years of industry experience
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through
  • Self-starter with a positive, willing to learn attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
