Your Role on the Expedition:

The Benefits Manager will lead the strategic design, implementation, and administration of comprehensive employee benefits programs across Generali Global Assistances North American subsidiaries. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this role will ensure that benefits offerings are competitive, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. The Benefits Manager will serve as a key advisor to leadership, manage vendor relationships, and champion employee education and engagement around benefits.

Chart Your Course:

Strategic Leadership & Program Design

  • Develop and execute a long-term benefits strategy that supports talent attraction, retention, and employee well-being.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to existing benefits programs, balancing cost control, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead annual benefits planning, including open enrollment, plan renewals, and vendor negotiations.

Vendor & Compliance Management

  • Oversee relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants to ensure optimal service delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA), including California-specific requirements.
  • Manage audits, reporting, and documentation to maintain regulatory compliance and readiness.

Operational Oversight

  • Direct the administration of health, wellness, retirement (401(k)), and leave of absence programs.
  • Ensure accuracy of benefits data and systems, including enrollment, eligibility, and billing.
  • Lead benefits-related financial operations, including invoice reconciliation and budget forecasting.
  • Oversee the administration, governance, and ongoing management of pension and retirement benefit programs, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Maintain pension plan documentation, filings, and vendor relationships while supporting employee education and engagement related to retirement benefits.

Employee Engagement & Communication

  • Design and deliver comprehensive benefits education initiatives, including onboarding, open enrollment, and ongoing communications.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for escalated employee inquiries and complex claims issues.
  • Promote a culture of health and well-being through targeted programs and partnerships.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and other departments to align benefits strategy with broader organizational goals.

Your Ticket to Success:

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in finance/economics/accounting.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration
  • Deep knowledge of benefits regulations, plan design, and vendor management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive strategic outcomes.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a multi-location or global organization.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SPHR).
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.

Position Coordinates:

This is a hybrid role based out of our Pembroke Pines, FL office. As a hybrid role, you will be working onsite 2-3 days a week and working from home 2-3 days a week.
