Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a travel assignment in Anchorage, Alaska.
This role supports an acute care hospital case management department focused on care coordination, utilization review, and discharge planning across a diverse patient population.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for experienced inpatient Case Managers who are confident managing high patient volumes, coordinating care across interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring appropriate utilization of healthcare resources.
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
13-week contract
Day shift 5x8s (business hours, variable start times)
Weekend requirement: every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week period
Patient ratio approximately 1:50
1 position available
COMPENSATION
Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable.
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate patient care and discharge planning across inpatient units
Perform utilization review and ensure appropriate level of care
Conduct needs assessments and coordinate DME and post-acute services
Develop and manage individualized care plans
Collaborate with physicians, social work, and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with CMS and regulatory guidelines
Document care coordination and case management activities in Epic EMR
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Acute care hospital (400+ beds)
Magnet facility and Level II Trauma Center
Epic charting system
Interdisciplinary support including therapy, pharmacy, social services, and care coordination teams

Requirements

Minimum 1 year acute care Case Manager RN experience REQUIRED
Acute care hospital experience REQUIRED (behavioral health does NOT qualify)
AK RN license must be in hand for Auto Offer
Epic experience REQUIRED
Experience with discharge planning, care coordination, and utilization review
BLS preferred
ACM certification preferred
