Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Asset Protection, the Asset Protection Business Partner will be critical to the success of the growing and dynamic retail team at Vuori. The Asset Protection Business Partner will execute and implement field asset protection programs as well as initiatives that focus on protecting our people, customers, and assets in assigned areas from fraud, safety and illegal acts. The role will serve as a strategic business partner for Retail Operations, People & Culture, Community & Training, Legal, Visual Merchandise, Inventory, Facilities, etc. This role requires an agile leader with a strong background in asset protection/loss prevention, an understanding of psychological & physical safety, and the ability to identify proactive measures to drive a safe and secure environment for stores teams and customers.
What you'll get to do:
  • Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of the asset protection program with a keen focus on shrink awareness, physical security, external/internal theft & fraud, and safety in assigned areas)
  • Responsible for ensuring physical security protocols and standards are installed and being executed by store teams during new store openings, remodel, and relocation of existing locations within assigned area(s)
  • Subject Matter Expert for the handling and management of critical incidents to mitigate employee/customer impact, brand damage, and business continuity in the event of a disaster.
  • Maintain and validate OSHA, personal and occupational safety related standards. Conduct through investigations and root cause analysis to develop plans to improve safety performance through safe behaviors.
  • Effectively communicate Asset Protection training and educational coaching for store leadership and store associates.
  • Investigate and resolve organized retail theft/crime incidents while also mitigating burglary incidents impacting assigned area(s).
  • Conduct highly sensitive internal theft/fraud investigations by leveraging data mining skills to identify and successfully resolve cases.
  • Foster relationships with Director of Stores, District & Store leaders to drive asset protection philosophy and vision.
  • Travel regularly with partners to all store locations throughout the assigned area(s).
  • Evaluate and analyze safety and security trends within the stores. Anticipate and advise key stakeholders on the risk and impact that strategic or operational decisions will have on employees, assets, and overall brand.
  • Collaborate with employee relations and people & culture teams on workplace violence related incidents or concerns, gross misconduct incidents, and policy violations.
  • Build strategic and strong relationships with law enforcement agencies, retail partners, and community leaders/organizations to support criminal and civil matters.
  • Role model Vuori's culture, values, and behaviors amongst the teams you support.
  • Contribute to the maintaining and updating Asset Protection related policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Who you are:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • 5+ years of multi-store & multi-state retail operations management in
  • Formal interview/interrogation training
  • Previous experience with court and government officials for the resolution of internal and external theft incidents.
  • Previous experience utilizing exception-based reporting & incident management systems.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities with skills to adapt style to different audiences.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity in an evolving, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Well organized, plan effectively and prioritize time according to what is most impactful.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.
  • A hands-on problem solver with a willingness to work in the details and find opportunities to change processes to drive efficiencies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively across several cross functional teams, and quickly adapt to change and new processes.
  • Experience building processes in a high-growing environment.

The salary range for this role is $110,000 per year - $125,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
